Ryan serves as the Director of Faculty and Education Initiatives at the AAMC and leads the annual Mid-Career Minority Faculty Leadership Development Seminar. Previously, he worked at the University of Michigan's Center for Academic Innovation (CAI) where he was the Faculty and Learning Experience Designer for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice. Prior to CAI, Ryan was with Michigan Medicine where he had the opportunity to work with faculty and students in UME and GME. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Languages & Cultures (Japanese) and a Master of Arts in Higher Education (Student Access & Success) from the University of Michigan.
