For Senior Faculty
Successful academic careers depend not only on strong research and clinical track records but also on making strategic career choices. Mentoring provided to guide and support research and career choices is a central element in developing successful clinical, basic, and translational investigators in an academic setting. The Institute for Clinical Research Education (ICRE) at the University of Pittsburgh considers mentoring to be one of the most important aspects in developing effective research programs and in developing faculty who conduct high-quality research. The ICRE is committed to providing resources that enhance the skills of trainees and their mentors at the University of Pittsburgh and beyond and to creating an environment that fosters supportive, structured, and evaluated mentoring for all academic trainees in the health professions.
