Certificate Program in CTS

Doctoral students in the University of Pittsburgh’s schools of the health sciences can earn a certificate in clinical and translational science as part of their doctoral studies. In addition to offering courses in research methodology, the rigorous program provides an opportunity for students to learn the skills needed to conduct high-quality clinical and translational research. It also allows them to participate in collaborative research under the mentorship of translational researchers. With the increased national emphasis on translating biomedical findings into cures, the certificate is a valuable career enhancement to students interested in careers in basic and health sciences.

The certificate program is available to students who are already enrolled in a relevant doctoral degree (PhD or DrPH) program at the University of Pittsburgh. Students complete 15 credits to earn the certificate.
